Obituary of Diane Jean Marshall

Diane Jean MARSHALL, age 67, of New Berlin, Wisconsin, formerly of Burlington and Fort Atkinson, passed away on Friday, March 25, 2011, at her home. Diane was born in West Allis, Wisconsin on February 19, 1944, the daughter of Harry J. and Edna (Wilson) VanRoosenbeek. She graduated from Fort Atkinson High School and from Alverno College. Diane worked as a library specialist for the Burlington School District. She was active in the Burlington Junior Women's Club and the Wisconsin Chapter of the Multiple Sclerosis Society. She received the Volunteer of the Year 2001 award for outstanding contributions to the MS Society�s local offices. Diane never complained about her illness, she was quick with a smile and a laugh; a friendly and outgoing person to all who knew her. Surviving are: Her Children: Cole (Stephanie) Marshall, Trevor, WI, and Christopher (Christina) Marshall, Milwaukee, WI, Grandchildren: Nolan, Bryce, Duncan, Conner, Isabella, and Christian Marshall, Mother and Step- Father: Edna and Ed Finn, Fort Atkinson, WI, Sister: Donna (Al) Daum, Santee, CA, Brother and Sister-in-Law: Richard and Virginia Marshall, Fort Atkinson, WI, Nephews/Nieces: Kevin (Sue) Marshall, Jean (John) Dorsey, Cam Hedberg, and Tim Spalla, and the Father of her children: Ross Neal Marshall, Burlington, WI. She is further survived by other relatives and friends. Diane was preceded in death by her father Harry, nephew Marty Spalla, and her father and mother-in-law Neal and Roberta Marshall. Funeral Services will be held Sunday, April 3, 2011, at 3:30PM at the Nitardy Funeral Home Chapel, 1008 Madison Ave., Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. Friends may call after 2:00PM on Sunday, at the funeral home until the time of the services.
