Obituary of Wilson Edwin King

Wilson Edwin KING, age 89, of Whitewater, Wisconsin, passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2011, at his home. Wilson was born in Antioch, Illinois on September 6, 1921, the son of Emmet Wilson and Ada (Tillatson) King. On June 16, 1945, Wilson married Virginia Ann Poulsen. Wilson retired from UW-Whitewater as a maintenance mechanic in 1983. He was a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Whitewater. Surviving are: Son: James King, Denver, CO, Daughter: Christine (Richard) Marshall, Whitewater, WI, Grandchildren: James (Eileen) Marshall, Portage, WI, and Kristi (Michael) Franko, Denver, CO, Great-Grandchildren: Christopher Marshall, Portage, WI, Kayleigh Marshall, Portage, WI, and Nola Ann Franko, Denver, CO, Sister: Grace (Bill) Strahan, Chugwater, WY, and Nieces: Sharon and Sheila Dorsey, Libertyville, IL. He is further survived by many other nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Wilson was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Virginia, and a daughter Sylvia Jean Valentine. At Wilson's request, there will be no formal services. A private memorial for the family will be held at a later date. The Nitardy Funeral Home, Whitewater is assisiting the family
