Obituary of Florence Ida Uhe

Florence Ida Uhe, age 93, formerly of Whitewater, Wisconsin, died Saturday, April 9, 2011, at the Holton Manor Nursing Home, in Elkhorn, WI. Florence was born on July 10, 1917 in Richmond Township to Otto and Lizzie (Stork) Wolske. On July 8, 1936 she married Harold Uhe in Whitewater. Harold preceded her in death in February, 1990. She worked at Nunnbush Shoe Co. in Edgerton for 25 years. She was a member and Sunday School teacher at 1st English Lutheran Church in Whitewater, and enjoyed crocheting and quilting. Surviving are: Sister: Marion Morse, Avalon-Johnstown,Center, WI, Sister-in-law: Phyllis Wolske, Whitewater, WI, many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Florence was preceded in death by her parents, brother: Emil Wolske, brother-in-law: Ivan Morse, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Leslie and Dorothy�Uhe. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, April 12, 2011, at 12:00pm at the First English Lutheran Church with Rev. Steven Hanson and Rev. Jerald Wendt officiating. Burial will follow in the Hillside Cemetery, located in Whitewater, Wisconsin. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 10am until the time of the service. The Nitardy Funeral Home, Whitewater, Wisconsin is assisting the family.
