Obituary of Eugene Edward Brown

Eugene �Bud� Edward BROWN, age 81, of Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin, passed away on Monday, April 11, 2011, at his home in Fort Atkinson, WI. Bud was born in Whitewater, Wisconsin on February 26, 1930, the son of Alvin and Lucille (Anderson) Brown. He graduated from Fort Atkinson High School in 1948. Bud served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict from 1951-1953. On January 17, 1953, Bud married Marion Joan Sitar at the Bethany Ev. Lutheran Church in Fort Atkinson, WI. Bud worked for the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department from 1959 until 1985, retiring as a Detective. He also was the owner and operator of Brown's Refrigeration. Bud was a member of St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church in Fort Atkinson. Surviving are: Wife: Marion Brown, Fort Atkinson, WI, Children: Robert Brown, Big Bear, CA, David Brown, Minock, IL, and Terri Brown, Janesville, WI, Three Grandchildren, Sister: Kathryn (Dean) Heiman, Fort Atkinson, WI., Special Nephew: Nathan Brown and numerous other nieces & nephews. Bud was preceded in death by his parents a son Jerry Brown and a brother Richard Brown. Funeral Services will be held Friday, April 15, 2011, at 1:00PM at the Nitardy Funeral Home Chapel, Fort Atkinson with Rev. Paul Scharrer officiating. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery, in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. Friends may call after 11:30AM on Friday at the Nitardy Funeral Home, Fort Atkinson, WI until the services. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church or to Rainbow Hospice of Jefferson.
