Obituary of Gladys Charlotte Hoffman

Gladys Charlotte HOFFMAN, age 90, of Rome, WI passed away on Friday, April 15, 2011, at Wellington Place in Fort Atkinson, WI. Gladys was born in Jefferson, Wisconsin, the daughter of Carl and Barbara (Medick) Streim. She was a resident of Rome all her life, until 2005 when she moved to Fort Atkinson. On April 26, 1941, Gladys married Carroll Hoffman in Sullivan, Wisconsin. Carroll preceded her in death on April 28, 1971. Gladys was an active member of the St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Rome and a member of the church choir. She was a member of the Rome Historical Society, the Rome Fireman's Auxillary and the American Legion. She was a former little league coach. Gladys enjoyed playing cards, watching Rome Baseball, Legion Baseball, High School baseball, soccer, and football and anything her grandkids were involved in. She enjoyed baking, and decorating cakes for all occasions. �Surviving are: Her Children: Diane (Darryl) Reuhl, Fort Atkinson, WI, Keith Hoffman, Jefferson, WI, and Kent (Deb) Hoffman, Rome, WI, Grandchildren: Wendy (Joe) Jacobson, Pam Mahoney, Carson and Lukas Hoffman, and Great-Grandchildren: Samantha Mahoney, Dan Mahoney, and Alixandra Jacobson. Gladys was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers: Donald (Dolores) Streim and Claude Streim. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00AM on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin with Rev. Bryan Engfer officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, in Sullivan, Wisconsin. Friends may call from after 10AM on Tuesday at the church until the services. Memorial may be given to Rainbow Hospice, The Rome Food Pantry, Trinity Lutheran Church, Fort Atkinson, WI, or to St. Luke�s Lutheran Church, Rome, WI. The Nitardy Funeral Home, Fort Atkinson is assisitng the family.
