Obituary of Ronald Clark Poyer

Ronald Clark POYER, age 77, of Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin, passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2011, at the Fort Atkinson Memorial Hospital, in Fort Atkinson, WI. Ron was born in Evanston, Illinois on June 6, 1933, the son of Harold and Ruth (Decker) Poyer. The family moved to Fort Atkinson in 1945, and began Poyer Orchards in 1948. Ron graduated from Fort Atkinson High School in 1951, and served his country in the United States Marine Corp during the Korean Conflict. On June 25, 1960, Ron married Mary Lou Preuninger at St. John's Community Church in Fort Atkinson. Ron was employed at Thomas Industries in Fort Atkinson until 1967, when he became self-employed at Poyer Orchards and Farm Market. He attended church at Faith Community Church in Fort Atkinson. �Surviving are: Wife: Mary L. Poyer, Fort Atkinson, WI, His Children: Robert C. Poyer, Normal , IL, and Debra (John) Ackatz, Fort Atkinson, WI, and Grandchildren: Erica (Jeremy) Loeks, and David J. Ackatz. Ron was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral Services will be held Friday, April 29, 2011, at 7:00PM at Faith Community Church, Fort Atkinson with Pastor Dan Pierce officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. Friends may call after 5PM at the church on Friday, April 29, 2011 until the services.
