Obituary of Willard Carl Lemke

Willard Carl LEMKE SR, age 79, of Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin, went to his heavenly home on Saturday, May 21, 2011, at Alden Estates of Countryside, in Jefferson, WI. Willard was born in Edgerton, Wisconsin on December 5, 1931, the son of Carl and Elsie (Mueller) Lemke. Willard was baptised and confirmed at St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church in Fort Atkinson. He graduated from Fort Atkinson High School and attended Milton College. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. On November 27, 1958, Willard married Marjorie Mumm at St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church. Willard worked as a meat cutter for DeWitt Foods in Fort Atkinson. He was a member of the St. Paul's Church Council and he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and bowling. �Surviving are: Wife: Marjorie Lemke, Fort Atkinson, WI, His Children: Willard "Willy" (LaDana) Lemke Jr., Fort Atkinson, WI, and Laurie (Paul) Bender, Elgin, IL, Grandchildren: Savannah, Vanessa, Willard Lemke III, Courtney, and Cory, Brother: Harold (Doris) Lemke, Edgerton, WI, Sister-in-Law: Betty Wolf, Brillion, WI, Sister-in-Law: Mary Grotjohn, Baxter, MN, Brother-in-Law: Pastor James (Gail) Mumm, Augusta, WI, Sister-in-Law: Beverly (Grant) Gulseth, Sonora, CA, Sister-in-Law: Sandra (Gordon) Bellig, Sanborn, MN, and Brother-in-Law: Mark (Sandy) Mumm, Madison, WI. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Willard was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Evelyn Kump, and brothers-in-law: Mervin Kump, Harold Wolf, and Miles Grotjohn. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, May 26, 2011, at 11:00AM at St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church, Fort Atkinson, WI with Rev. Paul Scharrer and Rev. Michael Duncan co-officiating. Friends may call after 9:30AM on Thursday at the church until the services. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a memorial to St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church or School.
