Obituary of Marvin Jerome Behm

CAMBRIDGE/EXELAND - Marvin Jerome Behm, age 66, passed away surrounded by his loving family on June 20, 2011, after two years of battling colon cancer. He was born in Fort Atkinson, the son of Alton and Mabel (Langer) Behm. He worked as a grinder and polisher at APV Crepaco for 29 years, until his retirement. After retirement he was reunited with Fran LaChance in Exeland, WI. Being the hard worker that he was, he continued working after retirement at Birchwood Saw Mill in Birchwood, WI. Marvin was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. His hobbies also included flea markets, auctions and raising rabbits, horses, and fowl. He enjoyed his land in Exeland with his flowing trout stream, where many summers were spent with his grandchildren, teaching them his skills in fishing and hunting. We will all remember his great stories by the campfire. Marvin is survived by his children Todd of North Carolina, Lore (Scott) Larson of Cambridge, Doug (Andrea) of Cambridge, Brad (Angela) of Deerfield; five grandchildren: Jenny, Drake, Brydon, Cooper, and Emillie; his siblings, Vivian of Fort Atkinson, Jim (Viola) of Cambridge, Shirley of Whitehall, and Jerry (Shirley) of Fort Atkinson. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Jean. A time of sharing memories will be held from 5-8PM on Thursday, June 30, 2011 at the Nitardy Funeral Home, Cambridge, Wisconsin. A Private Family Service will take place at a later date. A special thank you to family and friends for their support and to HospiceCare, Inc. for the care they gave Marvin.
