Obituary of Ethel M. Schoen

Ethel M. SCHOEN, age 96, of Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin, died Tuesday, July 5, 2011, at Wellington Meadows in Fort Atkinson, WI. Ethel was born on August 16, 1914 in the town of Portland, Wisconsin, the daughter of Frank and Minnie (Thielke) Gerbig. She graduated from Watertown High School. On October 16, 1934, Ethel married Theodore Schoen in Belvidere, Illinois. Theodore preceded her in death on December 31, 1961. Ethel worked at W.D. Hoard and Company. Surviving are: Son: Tom (Sharon) Schoen, Fort Atkinson, WI, Daughter: Sandra (Eugene) Zechel, Fort Atkinson, WI, Son-in-Law: Norman Koenig, Fort Atkinson, WI, Grandchildren: Five Grandchildren, Five Great-grandchildren, and One Great-Great-grandchild. Ethel was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter JoAnn, four brothers and a sister. Funeral Services will be held Friday, July 8, 2011, at 11am at Nitardy Funeral Home Chapel, Fort Atkinson, with visitation from 10am until the time of service.
