Obituary of Elsie R. Clyburn

Elsie R. �Ray� CLYBURN, age 90, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2011 at her nephew�s home where she has resided for the past four years in Whitewater, WI. Ray was born in Osyka, Mississippi on February 23, 1921. She served her country in the U.S. Army as a WAC during WWII. On July 21, 1946, she married George H. Clyburn in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. George preceded her in death on July 27, 1993. Ray worked for South Central Bell for 30 years before retiring. Surviving are: Sister: Elizabeth Meyer, Whitewater, WI, many nieces, nephews, and other relatives. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers-in-law: E. F. Meyer, and Stanley C. Meyer. Private Family Services will be held at the Nitardy Funeral Home Chapel, Whitewater with burial at a later date in the Greenoaks Memorial Park, Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
