Obituary of Clarence Raymond Knaack

Clarence Raymond Knaack Sr, age 86, of Fort Atkinson, WI, passed away August 27, 2011, at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison, WI. Clarence was born on July 10, 1925, to Alvin and Helen (Heese) Knaack. On March 22, 1947 he married Marion Krebs at Frieden's United Church of Christ in Fort Atkinson. Clarence worked for 43 years at Stoppenbach in Jefferson, worked many years at Hardee's in Fort Atkinson, and most recently worked at K-Mart until retiring this August, 2011. He was a member of the First Congregational United Church. His favorite pass times included spending time with family, his cats, and vacationing in Florida. Clarence also enjoyed camping, hunting, bird watching, and collecting cans. He loved the outdoors, and tinkering in his garage. Surviving are: Wife: Marion Knaack, Fort Atkinson, Daughter: Sharon (Bob) Wintlend, Hancock, Son: Clarence "Butch" Jr. (Kathy) Knaack , Fort Atkinson, Daughter: Bunnie (Joe) Zimbrich, DeForest, Daughter: Cindy (Don) Rortvedt, Milton, Daughter: Kathy (Don) Cavanna, Fort Atkinson, Daughter-in-law: Holly Knaack, Fort Atkinson, Daughter-in-law: Kathy Knaack, Neshkoro, WI, 17 Grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, Sister: Dorothy Rosebrook, MO, Sister: Lorraine Eserhut, WA, special friends: Laurie "Blondie", wood hauling �Buddy� Brian and many other family and friends. Clarence was preceded in death by 4 Sons: Ricky, David, Jeff, and Roger; Great granddaughter: Chloe; 2 Sisters: Florence Kasten, and Alice Zukow; and Brother: Herbie. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2011, at 11:00am at the First Congregational United Church, Fort Atkinson. Visitation will be on Friday, September 2, 2011 from 5-7pm at Nitardy Funeral Home, Fort Atkinson, and on Saturday from 10am until the time of service at the church. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a memorial to the First Congregational United Church.
