Helen Burrill Mischka Tiefenthaler� May 11, 1913- September 1, 2011 Helen Mischka Tiefenthaler passed away peacefully at home with members of her family by her side on September 1, 2011. Helen was born on May 11, 1913 in Milwaukee, the daughter of Hilda Trentage Andrae and Paul Colburn Burrill. Helen married Zaner Mischka, the son of Fred Mischka and Mathilda Krampetz, in Milwaukee on June 11, 1933. Zaner worked as a newspaper reporter. The depression required that they live in many cities and states before finally settling in Burlington, Wisconsin in June 1947. They started the Mischka Company in 1943 for the publication of instruction manuals, primarily for the Armed Forces. Helen and Zaner raised 4 children, primarily in Burlington, before moving to cities in Ohio, Kentucky, Texas, California and Arizona. Helen moved from Sun City, Arizona, to Fairhaven in Whitewater, Wisconsin in March, 2008 after the death of her second husband Eugene Tiefenthaler and to be closer to their oldest son, Robert Mischka. Helen is survived by two sisters, Alice Quandt and Hilda Eyre, children Robert, Carl, and John Mischka, and numerous grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers John and George Burrill, daughter Helen Barry, husbands Zaner and Eugene, and grandson Justin Mischka. Helen was a member of Whitewater's St. Luke's Episcopal Church. The Nitardy Funeral Home, Whitewater, Wisconsin is handling her funeral arrangements. Her ashes will be interred at Church of the Advent in Sun City West, Arizona, next to those of her husband, Zaner. No services are planned at this time. Helen was a renaissance woman, proficient in many different fields. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
