Obituary of Ralph William Julius Arndt

Ralph William Julius Arndt- Born on March 21, 1924 in the Town of Eagle, was called to his eternal home by his Savior on Friday, September 9, 2011. Son of Harry and Caroline (Rostowfske) Arndt. He was baptized April 27, 1924 and confirmed his christian faith on June 25, 1939 at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, North Prairie, Wisconsin. Ralph was married to Elizabeth Pett on April 30, 1949 at St. John's Church in North Prairie. They lived and raised their children on the family farm at Eagle until moving to Fort Atkinson in May of 2000, where he was a member of Bethany Ev. Lutheran Church. Ralph is survived by his wife of 62 years, Elizabeth, sons Dennis (Christine) of Eagle, and Glenn (Heidi) of Eagle, and daughter Karen (Robert) Whettam of East Troy, ten grandchildren: Sarah (James) Frutchey, David (Jodi) Arndt, Allison (Jason) Stephans, Rebekah Arndt, Amy Arndt (Fiancee Andy Schlarb), Ashley (Paul) Smyczek, Leah Arndt, Jonathan Arndt, Micah Arndt, and Hannah Arndt. Also nine great-grandchildren: Victoria, Ryan, Makayla, Grace, Natalie, Olivia, James, Sophia, and Gabriel. He is further survived by his brother Harry and sister Evelyne (David) Pett, many in-laws, nephews, and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Margaret Pett. Ralph�s Victory Celebration will be 11:00AM on Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at Bethany Ev. Lutheran Church, 404 Roosevelt Street, Fort Atkinson, WI, with Rev. Ethan Steinbrenner officiating. Visitation will be at 9:00AM on Tuesday at the church until the time of the services. Burial will be in the North Prairie Cemetery, North Prairie, Wisconsin.
