Obituary of Duane Eldridge Reich

Duane �Bud� Eldridge REICH, age 73, of Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin, passed away on Thursday, September 22, 2011, at the Fort Atkinson Memorial Hospital. Duane was born on January 23, 1938 in the Town of Hebron, Wisconsin the son of Royal A. and Rose (Brom) Reich. He grew up in the Cushman Mill area and attended Cushman Mill Elementary School and graduated from Jefferson High School in 1956. On December 13, 1958, Duane married Anna M. Jaeckel. Their marriage was blessed with four children. Bud worked for Stritzel and Sons Roofing of Whitewater for 52 years. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church in Fort Atkinson where he was a member. Bud's family meant the world to him and he enjoyed many pleasures with them. He enjoyed family gatherings, gardening, playing volleyball, and playing cards. Surviving are: Wife: Anna Reich, Fort Atkinson, WI, Two Daughters: Brenda (Dennis) Schultz, Fort Atkinson, WI, and Tamera (Jonathan) Welke, Fort Atkinson, WI, and Two Sons: Duane "Charlie" Reich, Fort Atkinson, WI, and Lyonel (Sigrid) Reich, Jefferson, WI, Eight Grandchildren: Valarie, Matthew, & Samantha Schultz, Nathan (Kaycee) Welke, Adam (Bethany) Welke, Michael Welke, and Daniel and Teigan Reich, Two Great-grandchildren: Regan & Alexander Welke, Two Brothers: Wildon (Cheryl) Reich, Sonora, CA, and Leland (Sharon) Reich, Jefferson, WI, Sister: Diana (Jim) Hansen, Waukesha, WI, Sisters-in-law: Genny Reich, Rockton, IL, Dorothy (Jerry) Vogel, Jefferson, WI, and Barbara Jaeckel, Jefferson, WI, Brothers-in-Law: Edgar Jaeckel, Sun Prairie, WI and Arnold Jaeckel, Jefferson, WI. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews. Bud was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Robert, Royal, and Lyle Reich and a sister Martha Reich. Funeral Services will be held Monday, September 26, 2011, at 11:00AM at St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church, Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin with Rev. Michael Duncan and Rev. Paul Scharrer officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. Friends may call from 3-7PM on Sunday, September 25, 2011 at St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church, Fort Atkinson and after 10AM on Monday at the church until the services. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a memorial to St. Paul's Ev.
