Obituary of Barbara Helen Duran

Barbara H. DURAN, age 49, of Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin, passed away on Friday, September 30, 2011, at Lakeview Specialty Hospital and Rehab, in Waterford, WI surrounded by her loving family. Barbara was born in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin on May 30, 1962, the daughter of John and Helen (Draeger) Wellmann. She attended St. John's Ev. Lutheran Grade School and Jefferson High School in Jefferson, WI. On July 15, 1994, Barbara married Carlos Duran in Jefferson. Barbara worked as a security guard at Crepaco in Lake Mills and various other jobs. She was a member of St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church in Fort Atkinson. Barbara enjoyed swimming and walking outdoors with her family. She loved drawing landscapes and flowers. Surviving are: Husband: Carlos and her children:�Nicole Wellmann, Cambridge, WI, and Austin Duran, Fort Atkinson, WI, Parents: John and Helen Wellmann, Jefferson, WI, and two brothers: Steve Wellmann, Watertown, WI, and Scott Wellmann, Watertown, WI. She is further survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends. Barbara was preceded in death by her grandparents, Fred and Laura Draeger and Johann and Sara Wellmann. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, October 6, 2011, at 12:00PM at the Nitardy Funeral Home Chapel, Fort Atkinson, WI. Visitation will be from 10AM-12PM on Thursday, Oct. 6, 2011 at the funeral home until the services. Memorials may be given to the family, St. Paul�s Ev. Lutheran Church, or to the charity of one�s choice.
