Obituary of Ronald William Wade

Ronald William Wade, age 64, died unexpectedly on Saturday, October 29, 2011 at Fort Atkinson Hospital. Ronald was born on December 18, 1946 in Fort Atkinson, WI to Howard and Dorothy (Hunt) Wade. He was a lifelong farmer in Richmond, WI, where he spent an idyllic childhood on the family farm. Ron helped his family to farm the land and tend to machinery, including the family's collection of steam engines. Ron graduated from Whitewater High School in 1965, and then completed a short course in Agriculture at UW Madison in 1967. On April 6, 1985 he married Suzan Sorensen in Whitewater, WI. Ron had a passion for learning, music, nature and his family. He often times could be found restoring vintage cars, caring for his dogs or playing his guitar. Ron is survived by his wife: Suzan Wade of Richmond; son: Steven (Mindy) Wade, of Richmond; daughter: Lynn (Mark) Walters, of Madison, WI; and two grandchildren: Molly and Emma Wade. He is further survived by cousins: Bill Hunt, Roger (Jean) Hunt, Martha (Herman) Karhoff, Donna (Robert) Hepfinger, and Myrta Fitzgerald. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Dorothy Wade, and special aunt and uncle, Martha and Harlan Wade. Visitation will be held at Nitardy Funeral Home in Whitewater, WI on Tuesday, November 1, 2011 from 5-8 pm. Funeral service will be held at Richmond United Methodist Church on Wednesday, November 2 at 11:00am. Ron will be interred at Richmond Cemetery.
