Obituary of Ivan Arthur Patrick

Ivan Arthur PATRICK, age 81, of Whitewater, Wisconsin, passed away after a brief� illness on Monday, October 31, 2011, at Fairhaven in Whitewater, WI. Ivan was born in Wonewoc, Wisconsin on July 30, 1930, the son of Ernest and Elizabeth (DuBois) Patrick. Ivan served his country as a U.S. Marine during the Korean Conflict where he earned a Purple Heart. On June17, 1953, Ivan married Audrey Brunner. Ivan was a dairy farmer. Ivan and his wife of 58 years, enjoyed their time together on the farm raising their family and running the family farm. Even after retirement, Ivan kept busy on the farm and also enjoyed spending time with his family, going to thresherees, and attending antique tractor shows. �Surviving are: Wife: Audrey Patrick, Whitewater, WI, Children: Gary (Barb) Patrick, Janesville, WI, Kathy (Michael) Riley, Whitewater, WI, Ralph Patrick, Whitewater, WI, and Charlene Patrick, Whitewater, WI, Sister: Norma Sonnenberg, Wonewoc, WI, and Grandchildren: Doug Riley, Amanda Riley, Josh Patrick, & Abby Patrick. Ivan was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Dorothy Sirna and Charlotte Price, brothers: Charles Patrick, Willy Patrick, Ed Patrick, Jerry Patrick, and Francis Patrick. A Private Family Graveside Service with Military Rites will be held Friday, November 4, 2011, at 11:00AM at the Hillside Cemetery in Whitewater, Wisconsin with Rev. Jerald Wendt officiating. The family would like to thank the nurses and doctors of the 4th Floor ICU at Mercy Hospital in Janesville and the caregivers at Fairhaven in Whitewater for the care they gave to Ivan.
