Obituary of Vivian Marion Krause

Vivian Marion KRAUSE, age 80, of Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin, passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2011, at Our House Memory Care in Whitewater, WI. Vivian was born in the Town of Oakland, Wisconsin on March 10, 1931, the daughter of Alton and Mabel (Langer) Behm. She graduated from Fort Atkinson High School in 1949. Vivian was formelry married to Gerald Kutz and together they started and operated Kutz Ambulance Service. On July 16, 1989, Vivian married Ralph "Clem" Krause. Vivian worked in various financial and retail businesses in the Fort Atkinson area. Vivian was a member of St. John's Community Church, Oakland and was an active member of it's Ladies Aid, and a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Vivian enjoyed playing euchre and was a member of the same card club for 58 years. Vivian also enjoyed baking, gardening, sewing, and fishing. Surviving are: Her children: Shirley (Roger) Gehrke, Fort Atkinson, WI, Gerald (Martha) Kutz Jr., Bradenton, FL, and Sandra Kutz, Fort Atkinson, WI, Brothers: James V. (Viola) Behm, Fort Atkinson, WI, and Gerald (Shirley) Behm, Fort Atkinson, WI, Sister: Shirley Vohs, Whitehall, WI, Step-children: James (Deena) Krause, Bartlett, IL, Dan (Gail) Krause, Fort Atkinson, WI, and Diane Krause, Fort Atkinson, WI, Grandchildren: Tanya (Troy) Tessman, Scott (Anthony Santini) Gehrke, and Justin and Andrew Kutz, Great-Grandchildren: Caden and Sierra Tessman & a new great grandson waiting to be born to Justin & Rachel Kutz. She is further survived by many other relatives and friends. Vivian was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Barbara Kutz, her husband Ralph Krause, a sister Jean Telfer, a brother Marvin Behm, and a brother-in-law Heinrich Vohs. Funeral Services will be held Friday, December 16, 2011, at 11:00AM at St. John's Community Church, Oakland Township, Wisconsin with Rev. Kevin Butler officiating. Burial will be in the Union Cemetery, in Town of Sumner, Wisconsin. Friends may call from 4-7PM on Thursday, December 15, 2011 at the Nitardy Funeral Home, Fort Atkinson and after 10AM on Friday at the church until the services.
