Obituary of Julie Jahnke Johnson

Julie Jahnke Johnson, age 36, of Jefferson, WI passed away on Monday, January 2, 2012 at her childhood home surrounded by family, following a four-year battle with cancer. Julie was born in Fort Atkinson on July 12, 1975, the daughter of Paul and Mary (Lyke) Jahnke of rural Jefferson.She graduated from Fort Atkinson High School in 1993 and married Randy Johnson on January 15, 2005. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Fort Atkinson. When not working, Julie enjoyed making jewelry and her two trips to Jamaica with a group of friends. Time spent with her son Devin was a highlight of her life. Friendship was also important to her, so she enjoyed spending time with them and special friend Matt and his daughters Madelyn and Mavie and dog Bruce the Moose. Julie leaves behind her son, her parents, special friend Matt, sisters Teresa Gaffner, Fort Atkinson and Paula Teubert, Jefferson, nephew Dale (Seffine) Gaffner and son Darius, niece Hannah Teubert, Jefferson and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Precededing her in death were her maternal grandparents, Charles and Rosetta Lyke, her paternal grandparents, Orvin and Beulah Jahnke, aunt Sandra Uhe, all of Fort Atkinson, and many other special relatives. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, January 5, 2012 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fort Atkinson with Rev. Bryan Engfer officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Fort Atkinson, WI. Friends may call from 5-7PM on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at the Nitardy Funeral Home, Fort Atkinson and after 10AM on Thursday at the church until the services.
