Obituary of Gladys Doris Zuelsdorf

Gladys Doris Zuelsdorf, age 88, of Fort Atkinson, WI made her journey to heaven on February 01, 2012. She passed away peacefully at her home with family. Gladys was born in Marshall, Wisconsin on February 9, 1923, the daughter of Frank and Martha (Grechow) Weckert. She graduated from Waterloo High School in 1940. On December 31, 1941, Gladys married Walter Frederick Zuelsdorf. Gladys was a member of Faith Community Church in Fort Atkinson. She volunteered at the Fort Atkinson Memorial Hospital Gift Shop for 8 years. Gladys loved spending time with her family after years of travel and adventure across the United States. She loved growing up on the farm, hunting, dogs, gardening, bible study with friends, and volunteering to run errands for people. She is survived by: her daughters: Kathy (Bryon) Vogel, Fort Atkinson, WI, Barb (Larry) Newman, Lake Du Bay, WI, and June (Howard) Duckert, Fort Atkinson, WI, her son: Jim Zuelsdorf, Fort Atkinson, WI and grandchildren: Stuart (Laura) Slizewski, Evansville, IN, Aaron (Heidi) Buckton, Wausau, WI, Lisa (Mike) Prideaux, Edmond, OK, Jodi (Jason Krause) Meyer, Fort Atkinson, WI, Ryan (Kelly) Duckert, Jefferson, WI, Bonnie Wells, Green Lake, WI, and Dale (Kim) Zuelsdorf, Cambridge, WI, 15 Great Grandchildren and 7 Great Great Grandchildren. Gladys was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Walter, a brother, two sisters, and a great grandchild. Funeral Services will be held at 12:30PM on Monday, February 06, 2012, at Faith Community Church, W5949 Hackbarth Road,Fort Atkinson,WI 53538 with Pastor Don Christianson officiating. Interment of cremains will be in the Faith Community Church Memorial Garden. Friends may call after 10:30AM on Monday at the church until the services.
