Obituary of Morris Lynn Dunsmoor

Lynn M. Dunsmoor, age 87, passed away Friday, February 3, 2012, at Countryside Home, where he resided for the past 2 years. He was born on January 24, 1925 in Markesan, WI, the son of Fred Mack Dunsmoor and Verna Henninger Dunsmoor. After High School graduation in 1942, Lynn was inducted into the U.S. Navy, where he served 3 years aboard the Destroyer Escort USS Baron in the South Pacific. In 1947 he married May Wagner. After several years residing in the north woods, Lynn and his family came to Fort Atkinson in 1963, and he worked for Hoffman Lumber Company until he started Dunsmoor's Doors in 1968. He retired and returned to Eagle River in 1984. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, cross country skiing, walks in the woods, reading, woodworking, and spending time with his family. Lynn is survived by his wife May and their 7 children: Linda (Richard) Kyle of Fort Atkinson, Andrea Dunsmoor of Sussex, Gary (Dawn) Dunsmoor of Spooner, Bonnie (Rick) Jaeger of Ixonia, Carole (Patric) Collins of Fort Atkinson, William (Lisa) Dunsmoor of Eagle River, and Lisa Dunsmoor of Fort Atkinson. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren: Amy (Barry) Sexton, Jenny (Mike) Fredrich, Charles (Jaime) Jaeger, David Jaeger, Daniel (Alyssa) Jaeger, Nicholas (Jenny) Collins, Amanda Collins, Joshua (Afton) Dunsmoor, Kailee (Brad) Kofal, Benjamin (Trista) Dunsmoor, Jesse (Kely) Dunsmoor, and Levi Dunsmoor; and 10 great grandchildren: Brady and Tyler Sexton, Sidney and Ellie Fredrich, Anna Jaeger, Isabella and Kenley Dunsmoor, and Aliyah, Sienna and Lucien Collins; his brother Howard Dunsmoor, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Lynn was preceded in death by his parents, his sister-in-law,� and his granddaughter, Kristine Kyle. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, February 10, 2012 at Bethany Ev. Lutheran Church in Fort Atkinson, with military rites. Rev. Steven Wilkens and Rev. Ethan Steinbrenner will co-officiate the service. Friends may call at the church beginning at 12 noon, until the time of service. "Amazing grace, how sweet the sound, that saved a wretch like me. I once was lost but now am found, was blind but now I see." The Nitardy Funeral Home, Fort Atkinson is assisting the family.
