Obituary of Edwin Waltert

Edwin Waltert, age 76, of Whitewater, WI passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at his home. Edwin was born in Niederuzwil, Switzerland on February 12, 1936, the son of Ernest and Thilomena (Cordany) Waltert. Edwin was a licensed cheesemaker in Switzerland. He worked as a production supervisor for Hawthorn Melody in Whitewater and most recently as a herdsman and farmer for the last 32 years. Edwin was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Fort Atkinson. He enjoyed flying planes and loved animals. Surviving are: His Companion: Deanna Barth, his children: Marla (Ervin) Lee, Bruce (Cherene) Waltert, Wendy (Erik) Stansbery, Ruedi (Sarah) Waltert, Chris Waltert, and Eric Waltert, Sister: Heidi (Archie) McNeil, Two brothers: Max Waltert and Arthur (Anne) Waltert, and his Grandchildren: Jacob, Mack, Spencer, Kylee, Adam, Brett Ronald, Marley Jean, Toni Kay, Ryann Louise, Alexis, Jordan, and Cassandra. Edwin was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral Services will be held Friday, February 17, 2012, at 2:00 PM at Trinity Lutheran Church, 314 Barrie Street, Fort Atkinson,WI with officiating Rev. Bryan Engfer officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. Friends may call after 12:00PM on Friday at the Church until the time of the services.
