Obituary of Eugene Kenneth Blank

Eugene Kenneth Blank, age 85,of Fort Atkinson, WI passed away on Sunday,February 19, 2012 at his residence surround by loved ones in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. Eugene was born in Watertown, Wisconsin on December 1, 1926 to Herman and Cora (Lehmen) Blank. On December 20, 1947 he married Venice "Vicky" Larson. She preceded him in death on October 17, 2011. Eugene entered the service and served his country in the United States Air Force. Eugene was employed by Ladish Malt Company. For many years after his retirement he loved working at Pond Hill Dairy where he was able to fulfill his dream of farming. He was a member of the American Legion. Eugene loved to hunt and fish. His passion was spending time in his garden and making wine. He also enjoyed being with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Surviving are his children: Larry(Carol) Blank, Fort Atkinson, David Blank, Trinidad, CO, and Vicky(John) Briggs, Janesville, Daughter-in-Law: Teri Blank, Parker, CO, Grandchildren, Bridgette Redenius, Hunter Blank, Erin Jones, Dustin Blank, Rachel Briggs, Jessica Inwood, Nathan Briggs, Sister; Barb (Lee) Linse, Helenville, Sister-in-Law, Joyce Blank, Waterloo, WI, and Sharon Bentheimer who he considered to be like his daughter. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brother; Loren "Jim" Blank and sister; Judith Lemke. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, February 23, 2012, at 2:00 PM at the Nitardy Funeral Homes, Inc., 1008 Madison Ave.,Fort Atkinson,WI 53538 with Sister Shannon Finger officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. Visitation will be at the Nitardy Funeral Home on Thursday from 12:00pm until time of services.
