Obituary of Jerome Walter Schwartz

Jerome Walter Schwartz, age 79, of Whitewater, WI passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at his home. Jerome was born in Chicago, Illinois, on March 27, 1932, the son of Edward and Alice (Plenzler) Schwartz . Jerry won the City of Chicago's High School Football Championship. He was awarded a full scholarship to play football for the University of Arizona. On April 7, 1951, Jerry married Mary Carol Anderson. Jerry worked for Illinois Bell Telephone Company. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Whitewater, WI and the Whitewater Lion's Club. He enjoyed model railroading and playing golf. Surviving are: His Wife - Mary Carol Schwartz, Whitewater, WI, His Children: Dennis (Kim Iwicki) Schwartz, Lindenhurst, IL, Denise (Paul) Sadowski, Antioch, IL, Gary (Dolores) Schwartz, Whitewater, WI, Glenn (Pam Chindlund) Schwartz, Algonquin, IL, Ann Marie (Kirk) Anderson, Janesville, WI, and Paul (Jaime) Schwartz, Whitewater, WI, Sister-in-law - Lori Schwartz, Houston, TX, Fourteen grandchildren and Five great-grandchildren. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter-in-law Kathleen Schwartz, and brothers: Edward and Robert Schwartz. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, February 25, 2012, at 11:00 AM at the Nitardy Funeral Homes Inc., 550 N. Newcomb Street, Whitewater,WI With Father Tom Perrin officiating. Burial will be in the Hillside Cemetery, Whitewater, Wisconsin. Friends may call from 4:30PM- 8:00PM on Friday, Feb. 24�at the Nitardy Funeral Home, Whitewater and after 10:00AM on Saturday until the time of the services.
