Obituary of Joyce Elaine Thayer

Joyce Elaine Thayer, age 80, died Saturday, February 25, 2012, surrounded by her loving family at Agrace Hospice Fitchburg, WI. Joyce was born in Racine Wisconsin on November 17, 1931 to Elmer and Leora Elaine (Werner) Winter She married William Thayer on June 16, 1951 at St. John's Church in Oak Creek WI Joyce was a Coordinator for Meals on Wheels, she was a member of St. James's Lutheran Church Cambridge, Joyce was active in 4-H as well as Scouts she was an avid crafter and loved to read. Surviving are: Daughter Gail (Larry) Bengal, Son Guy (Patti Jo) Thayer, Son Scott Thayer, Daughter Lynn (Patrick) Janowski. Brother Richard (Kathleen) Winter 9 Grandchildren: Lawrence (Sandra) Bengal, William Bengal, Christopher (Jessica) Thayer, Catherine Thayer, Nichole (Brandon) Fitzgerald, Benjamin Thayer, Katelyn Thayer, Mindy and Crystal Thayer; Great Grandchildren: Bodi and Remmy Fitzgerald Joyce was preceded in death by her husband William, Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at St. James Lutheran Church Cambridge with Pastor Jeffery Schallert officiating. Friends may call on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 from 4-6 p.m. at Nitardy Funeral Home in Cambridge, and on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the church.
