Obituary of Bernice Louise Stevens

Bernice Louise Stevens, age 83, of Watertown, WI, formerly of Cambridge, Wisconsin passed away on Thursday, April 12, 2012 at Shorehaven Health Care Center in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. Bernice, (Bea), was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on December 26, 1928, the daughter of Arthur and Evelyn (Schreck) Limberg. She graduated from Nathan Hale High School. Bernice married Chester "Chet" W. Stevens on November 8, 1947. Chet preceded her in death on February 27, 1999. Bernice enjoyed knitting, sewing, crossword puzzles, gardening, and was an avid reader. Surviving are: Three grandchildren: Stephanie Scholtes, Eric (Natasha) Scholtes, and Kevin Scholtes, all of Texas; and a great-grandson: Chester Scholtes; Brothers: Fred (Carol) Limberg, Eagle River, WI and Arthur Limber, Colgate, WI; and nieces and a nephew: Colleen (Mark) Sikora, Watertown, WI, Briant (Debbie) Redmond, Wales, WI, and Michelle (Breck) Ward, Elkhorn, WI. Bernice was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Chester, her daughter Doreen Scholtes, and her sister, Mildred Redmond. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at 11:00AM at the Nitardy Funeral Home Chapel, Cambridge, WI. Burial will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery, Madison, WI. Visitation at 10AM on Wednesday at the Nitardy Funeral Home until the time of the services.
