Obituary of Raymond Otto Storck

Raymond Otto Storck, age 94, of Whitewater, WI passed away on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at his home. Raymond was born in Elkhorn, Wisconsin on December 5, 1917, the son of Otto A. and Edith (Maetzke) Storck. He graduated from Whitewater High School. Raymond served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII, seeing duty in Normandy, Northern France, Ardennes, Rhineland, and Central Europe. On June 9, 1941, Raymond married Shirley Johnson in Whitewater, Wisconsin. Shirley preceded him in death on March 24, 2011. Raymond was a butcher by trade and he owned and operated Johnson's Market in Whitewater, ran Hackett's Meat Department in Whitewater, and worked for Schroedl's Meat Market in Jefferson, WI. Raymond was a member of the First English Lutheran Church, the Whitewater American Legion and the Whitewater Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed playing golf and cards and bird watching. Surviving are a sister: Gladys Spicer, other relatives, and many special friends. Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, and his daughter Patricia A. Storck. A Visitation will be held from 4-7PM on Monday, April 23, 2012 at the Nitardy Funeral Home, 550 N. Newcomb Street, Whitewater, WI. Interment will be in the Hillside Cemetery, Whitewater, Wisconsin. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a memorial to the Whitewater Fire Department or to Rainbow Hospice of Jefferson, WI.
