Obituary of Fred H. Lohmeier

Fred "Freddy" H. Lohmeier Jr, age 62, of Janesville, WI passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 in Buena Vista, Georgia. Freddy was born in Elgin, Illinois on March 25, 1950, the son of Fred H. and Elizabeth "Betty" A. (Schuman) Lohmeier Sr. The family moved to Wisconsin from Illinois and Freddy graduated from Whitewater High School. On November 21, 1970, Fred married Sandra Jane Schmitt at the "Church By the Side of the Road" in Rockton, Illinois. Freddy spent his life with trucks. He began with driving grain trucks at the age of 17 and had owned and operated his over the road semi trucking business since 1978. Freddy enjoyed restoring everything and anything. Harley Davidsons, John Deere's, Peterbilts and Dodge Trucks were his passion. He most of all loved and enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren on his newly purchased 17acre farmette. He was active with and supported Rawhide. Surviving are: His wife: Sandra Lohmeier, Janesville, WI, Children: Craig (Lindsey) Lohmeier and Casey Lohmeier, Parents: Fred and Betty Lohmeier Sr., Brothers: George Lohmeier, William "Billy" (Kay) Lohmeier, and Robert "Bobby" (Erin) Lohmeier, and Grandchildren: Abigail "Abby" Lohmeier, Thomas (Tommy) Lohmeier, Ava Rose Lohmeier, and Dayne Lohmeier. Serena DeMott and her three children held a special place in Fred's heart. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A Visitation will be held from 4-8PM on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at the Nitardy Funeral Home, 550 N. Newcomb Street, Whitewater, WI.
