Obituary of Frank L.- Mercier

Frank "Frenchy" L. Mercier, 82 of Delavan, WI passed away Tuesday May 22, 2012 at his home surrounded by his family. The son of Albert & Eva (Cloutier) Mercier, he married Shirley Collins on January 17, 1953. She passed away in August 1989. He then married Mavis Cornelius Duncan on October 27, 1990. He was a hard worker his whole life and served in the Army from 1948 until 1951 seeing duty in the Korean Conflict. Frenchy was very devoted to his family but he especially loved his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Mavis of Delavan; a son Dave of West Allis; step-children Mike Beck of Los Angeles, CA, Sandy (Michael) Fox of Palmyra, WI and Linda (Marty) Walling of Fort Atkinson, WI. Grandchildren Dave & Neil Mercier of West Allis, WI; Tiffany Mercier of Watertown, WI, Shella & Tara Thompson of IN, Michael, Kayla, Janelle and Joe Fox of Palmyra WI, Robert Ripley of Elkhorn, Tammy Studinski of Waukesha, WI and Martina Walling of Fort Atkinson, WI, Fourteen Great-grandchildren, and Brother Arnold (Donna) Mercier of Michigan. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Grover, Jim, Albert, and Dave, 2 sisters: Louella and Midge, step-daughter Tammy Beck, and his first wife Shirley. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, May 26, 2012 at the Nitardy Funeral Home, Whitewater, Wisconsin. Friends may call after 10AM on Saturday at the Nitardy Funeral Home, Whitewater, until the services.
