Obituary of Kathryn Ann Borchert

Kathryn Ann Borchert, age 62, of Cambridge, Wisconsin, passed away on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at her home after a four year battle with Colorectal Cancer. Kathryn was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on January 16, 1950, the daughter of George and Casmira (Stawski) Hatzinger. She graduated from Monona Grove High School in 1968. On September 6, 1969, Kathryn married Neil Borchert. Kathryn worked for National Guardian Life Insurance and was involved in Home Health Care. She was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church and the Lake Ripley Country Club both in Cambridge, Wisconsin. Kathy was a beloved wife, mother, nana, sister, aunt, and friend. Kathy was known for her smile, sayings, giving kissing tattoos to family and friends, and most of all her love. Kathy took a great deal of pride in being a mother with a clean home. Her Saturday morning cleaning rituals started at dawn no matter who was trying to sleep. Kathy enjoyed spending her free time with family and friends, dancing to the oldies, or playing cards. Those who knew Kathy could count on her to bring her positive energy, her faith, and her smile She is survived by her husband; Neil Borchert., Cambridge, WI, Children: Tony (Kelly) Borchert, Skokie, IL and Nicole (Tom) Grosinske, Whitewater, WI, Three Grandchildren: Abby, Brock, and Calli, Seven Sisters: Joan (Tom) Schmitt, Middleton, WI, Mary Britt, Madison, WI, Eve (Ray) Allar, Middleton, WI, Christine Starr, Sun Prairie, WI, Connie (John) Tolley, Deerfield, WI, Lisa (Todd) Achterberg, Eagle River, WI, and Ann (Mike) Hartnett, Sun Prairie, WI, Two Brothers: George (Sandy) Hatzinger, Edgerton, WI, and Peter (Olena) Hatzinger, Mequon, WI, Father-in-Law: Willard Borchert, Sun Prairie, WI, and Brother-in-Law: Steve Borchert, Portage, MI. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, Cambridge, WI with Father Dave Timmerman celebrating. Interment will be in Highland Memory Gardens, Madison, Wisconsin. Friends may call from 4-8PM on Friday, June 8, 2012 at the St. Pius X Catholic Church, Cambridge, WI, and after 9:30AM on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at the church until the time of the Mass.
