Obituary of James E. Orton

James E Orton Sr, age 84, of Jefferson, WI, passed away on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at the Fort Atkinson Memorial Hospital. James was born in Weyerhauser, Wisconsin on June 9, 1928, the son of Frank A. and Helen (Meyers) Orton. Jim served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. On December 2, 1951, Jim married Charlotte Albrecht. Charlotte preceded him in death on March 30, 1995. In November 1997, Jim married Helen Jeanne Brandt Hasel. Jim worked as an upholster for Schweiger Industries in Jefferson for 40 years. Jim was a member of St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church in Jefferson. He enjoyed bicycling, playing cards, and watching the Packers. Surviving are: His Wife:Helen Jeanne Orton, Jefferson, WI, Children: Sandra (Thomas) Stevens, Jefferson, WI, John (Janice) Orton, Fort Atkinson, WI, James (Teri) Orton , Janesville, WI, and Timothy Orton , Milton, WI, Grandchildren: TJ, Katie, Scott, and Melissa Rutter, and three great grandchildren: Kayla, Gunner, and Justin. Jim is further survived by many other relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, June 30, 2012, at 10:00 AM at the Nitardy Funeral Homes, Inc., 1008 Madison Ave.,Fort Atkinson,WI 53538 with Rev. Wayne Mueller officiating. Burial with military rites will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. Visitation will be after 9AM on Saturday, June 30, 2012 at the Nitardy Funeral Home until the time of the service.
