Obituary of Frances Maud Marks

Frances Maud Marks (Stewart), age 102, of Milwaukee, WI passed peacefully into eternal rest on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at the Glen Supported Living in Whitewater, WI. where she had been a resident for the past nine years. She was born in Milwaukee, WI on June 29, 1910 to the late Grace and Edward Stewart. Frances loved to dance, in fact, in her younger years she was involved in a dance company and performed with the Milwaukee Beauties on stage at the Palace Orpheum Theater. She was united in marriage to the late Harry W. Marks of Neosho, WI. Frances enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her beloved and dedicated daughter, Gloria M. Wiser who preceded her in death April 7,2012 in Whitewater WI. Surviving her is her son-in-law Roger Wiser, grand-daughters Cynthia Wiser McNichols of Wauwatosa, WI and Sharon Wiser Swan Iowa City, IA. great-grandchildren Katurah(Richard) Shaw , Nathan McNichols, Michael McNichols and Madeleine Swan; great-great grandsons William and Michael Shaw and cousin, Delphine Buffington. Frances was a very hard worker during her lifetime. She worked at Huth and James, Schusters and finally enjoyed many years as a manager/bookkeeper at Drew's Variety Store on the south side of Milwaukee. Frances had many friends throughout her life and enjoyed many other activities. A private family service of remembrance will be held in Milwaukee, WI. Donations in her name may be made payable to the dedicated workers of Rainbow Hospice and the Glen Supported Living in Whitewater.
