Obituary of James A. Brown

James "Jim" A. Brown, age 84, of Fort Atkinson, WI passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, July 25, 2012, after a long illness. James was born in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin on September 22, 1927. He married Sylvia Ann Wogsland. Jim was employed through the years at Jaeger's Bread Company, Healthway Dairy, Jones Dairy Farm, and R-Way Gas Station. Jim was a long-time member of the Lake Ripley Country Club in Cambridge and was an avid golfer. He was also interested in tennis and bicycling. Jim was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Fort Atkinson. Surviving are his loving wife of 61 years: Sylvia, his brother: Jack Brown, and three Children: Jeffrey (Theresa) Brown, Becky (Bill) Ericsen, and Lori (Steve) Wiesmann. He is further survived by five grandchildren: Jennifer, Ben, Tim, Katie, and Eric, and four great-grandchildren. Jim was preceded in death by his father Norman and mother Jessie, and a brother Arthur "Bud" Hebbe. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, July 31, 2012, at 11:00 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church, 301 Barrie Street, Fort Atkinson,WI with Rev. Bill Beyer officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. Friends may call after 10AM on Tuesday at the church until the time of the service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a memorial to Rainbow Hospice of Jefferson, WI, or to Trinity Lutheran Church, Fort Atkinson, WI.
