Obituary of Madeline E. Wolfram

Madeline E Wolfram, age 96, of Fort Atkinson, WI passed away on Saturday, August 11, 2012 at her home. Madeline was born in Waupun, Wisconsin on March 14, 1916, the daughter of Edward and Ruth (Bockner) Jerdee. She attended Madison schools, and graduated from Madison East High School. On August 4, 1934, Madeline married Carl Wolfram. Carl preceded her in death in April 1978. Madeline worked at Fort Atkinson Memorial Hospital until her retirement in 1982. Madeline was the oldest member of St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church and the Lakeside Lutheran High School Ladies Guild. She volunteered at Twice is Nice in Jefferson. Madeline enjoyed sports and being with her loving family; children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Surviving are her two daughters: Sharon Stevens, Fort Atkinson, WI, and Judy (Ross) Davis, Jefferson, WI, Grandchildren: Matthew (Andrea) Davis, Jefferson, WI, Melissa Gross, Fort Atkinson, WI, Jason Stevens, Fort Atkinson, WI, and Kimberley (Donald) Vernon, Jefferson, WI, and Great-grandchildren: Cameron Davis, Jefferson, WI, Seth Davis, Jefferson, WI, Breanna Davis, Jefferson, WI, Clarissa Gross, Fort Atkinson, WI, Karmyn Gross, Fort Atkinson, WI, Freedom Vernon, Jefferson, WI, Donald Vernon, Jefferson, WI and James Vernon, Jefferson, WI. She is further survived by nieces and nephews. Madeline was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Carl, three brothers, and a son-in-law Donald Stevens. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church, Fort Atkinson with Rev. Michael Duncan and Rev. Paul Scharrer officiating. Burial will be in the Cold Spring Cemetery, Town of Cold Spring, Wisconsin. Friends may call after 9:00AM on Wednesday at the church until the services. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a memorial to St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church or School, Lakeside Lutheran High School, Lake Mills, WI, or to Rainbow Hospice of Jefferson, WI. The family would like to thank Dr. Donald Williams, Country Nurses, and Rainbow Hospice for their care of Madeline and a special thank you to her caregiver Janie Saldana. The Nitardy Funeral Home, Fort Atkinson is assisting the family.
