Obituary of Duncan Reid Reid

Duncan "Mac" Reid McIntyre, age 85, of Whitewater, WI passed away on Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at Our House in Whitewater, Wisconsin. Duncan was born in Chicago, Illinois on August 22, 1926, the son of Duncan and Henrietta McIntyre. He served his country in the U.S. Army During WWII. On November 3, 1951, Duncan married Shirley Voderberg in Chicago, Illinois. Duncan worked as a PBX Foreman for Illinois Bell. He served as a cub master and scout master. Duncan was a member of the Telephone Pioneers and a founding member of the Whitewater Remote Control Flying Club. He enjoyed fishing and after growing up in Chicago, he learned to love the Packers. Surviving are: His Wife: Shirley McIntyre, Whitewater, WI, Two Sons: Don (Marcia) McIntyre, Mundelein, IL and Bill (Mary Beth) McIntyre, Cincinnati, OH, and Grandchildren: Laura (Brett) Plazek, Sioux City, IA, Steven McIntyre, Mundelein, IL, Thomas McIntyre, Cincinnati, OH, and Anne Marie McIntyre, Cincinnati, OH. Duncan was preceded in death by his parents and a son Jim. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, August 18, 2012, at 2:00 PM at the Nitardy Funeral Home Chapel, 550 N. Newcomb Street, Whitewater,WI with Rev. Jerald Wendt officiating. Friends may call after 12:00PM on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at the Nitardy Funeral Home, Whitewater, WI until the time of the services.
