Obituary of Harold Donald Fowler

Harold "Bud" Donald Fowler,Jr. age 81, of Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin passed away on Monday, August 20, 2012 at his home. Bud was born in Madison, Wisconsin on April 3, 1931, the son of Harold Donald and Ardis (Little) Fowler Sr. He graduated from Beaver Dam High School in 1949 and attended UW-Whitewater for three years. Bud served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict as military police. On October 3, 1953 he married Lorraine Katherine Klavekoske in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. Bud was a longtime employee of Jones Dairy Farm in Fort Atkinson. He enjoyed woodworking after retirement and was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Fort Atkinson. Surviving are: his wife: Lorraine K. Fowler, Fort Atkinson, WI, three children: Susan (John) George, Fond du Lac, WI, Tom Fowler, Ames, IA, and Wm. (Shelly) Fowler, Fort Atkinson, WI, seven grandchildren: Tanya, Tyson, Nichole, Jason, Karissa, Blayse, and Eden, seven great-grandchildren, and sister: Judy George, Beaver Dam, WI. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Bud was preceded in death by his parents, sister Jeanne Rochwite, and a granddaughter Stacie Schink. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, August 25, 2012, at 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church, 320 S. Main Street, Fort Atkinson, WI with Rev. Russell Frees Jr. officiating. Interment with military rites will be in the Union Cemetery, Town of Sumner, Wisconsin. The family will greet visitors beginning at 10AM on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at the church until the services.
