Obituary of Dorothy Marie Parsons

Dorothy Marie Parsons, age 90, of Whitewater, WI passed away on Sunday, September 23, 2012 at the Fort Atkinson Memorial Hospital in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. Dorothy was born in Minneapolis, MN on January 26, 1922, the daughter of James and Elizabeth (Callahan) Richtman. She was a resident of Whitewater since 1939. On May 28, 1942, Dorothy married Frederick James Parsons in Dubuque, Iowa. Frederick preceded her in death on December 23, 1984. She worked at Fort Memorial Hospital for 20 years as a nurses aid. Dorothy enjoyed gardening and reading. Surviving are: Sons: Richard Parsons of Whitewater, and Brian Parsons Fairbury, IL, Sister: June Dooley, DeBary, FL Grandchildren: Scott (Jana) Parsons, MO, Shelly Parsons, Eau Claire, WI, Heather (Dustin) Williams, Fairbury, IL, Ashley Parsons, Whitewater, WI, and Landon Parsons, Whitewater, WI, Great-grandchildren: Amanda Parsons, MO, Steven Huntley, Fairbury, IL, Austin Williams, Fairbury, IL, Truman Williams, Fairbury, IL, and Kayla Williams, Fairbury , IL Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son James, a granddaughter Deborah Huntley, and a brother Richard Richtman. Funeral Services will be held Friday, September 28, 2012, at 1:30 PM at the Nitardy Funeral Home, 550 N. Newcomb St., Whitewater, WI with Dustin Williams officiating. Burial will be in the Zion Cemetery, Palmyra, Wisconsin.
