Obituary of Michael Charles Engel

Michael Charles Engel, age 66, of Rice Lake, WI passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 09, 2012 at his home. Michael was born in Watertown, Wisconsin on August 9, 1946, the son of Charles and Mary Jane (O'Brien) Engel. He graduated from Fort Atkinson High School in 1964. Mike served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1966 until 1968. He was previously married to Linda Bowen. Mike worked at Moore Seafood in Fort Atkinson and other various food processing plants around the country. Currently he was plant manager for McCain Foods in Rice Lake, Wisconsin. Mike was a member of the Elks Club #1441 of Rice Lake, Wisconsin and he enjoyed golfing and time spent with family and friends. Surviving are: His Mother: Mary Jane Engel, Fort Atkinson, WI, Sister: Kristine (Richard) Lundt, Helenville, WI, Nephew: Greg (Sue) Fuller, Birmingham, MI, Great Nephews: Michael and Andrew Fuller, Step-Children: Jim (Debbie) Bowen, Cambridge, WI, Sherrie (Paul Segatti) Bowen, Aurora, CO, and Cindy (Wayne Dahnert) Bowen, Fort Atkinson, WI, Step-grandchildren: Lindsay and Taylor Bowen, Cambridge, WI, Emelia Segatti, CO, Kelli (Bryan) Northey, AZ, and Marcus Dahnert, Fort Atkinson, WI. Mike was preceded in death by his father Charles Engel in Feb. 1990. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, October 20, 2012, at 12:00 PM at the Nitardy Funeral Home Chapel, 1008 Madison Ave.,Fort Atkinson, WI with Father Brian Wilk officiating. Burial will be in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. Friends may call after 10AM on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at the Nitardy Funeral Home Chapel until the time of the services. A Memorial will be established in Mike's name at a later date.
