Obituary of Ojars Plisis

Ojars Plisis, age 62, of Cambridge, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully in his home on October 27, 2012. Ojars was born in Munich, Germany on August 16, 1950 to Janis and Milda (Briedis) Plisis of Latvia. He married Linda Otto of Lake Geneva, Wisconsin on May 7, 1973 in Santa Monica, California. His greatest joy was his family and being a grandpa. Surviving are: Wife, Linda Plisis, Cambridge; Daughters: Stacy Plisis (Ryan) Sherman, Fort Atkinson, and Erin Plisis, Cambridge; Grandson, Riley Walter Sherman, Fort Atkinson; Father, Janis Plisis, Williams Bay; Sister, Rita Plisis (Wayne) Hawk, Dousman; Nephew, Matthew Hawk, Dousman; Brother-in-Law, Robert Carter, Lake Geneva; Nieces Leanna Carter (Jay) Wood, Evansville and their children, Kayla and Emily Wood; and Aimee Carter (Dennis) Yakes, East Troy and their children, Alissa and Adam Yakes. Ojars was preceded in death by his mother, Milda, and his sister, Edite (Plisis) Carter. A memorial service will be held on November 3, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the United Church of Christ in Williams Bay. Memorials may be directed to the family at the church, located at 46 Stam Street, Williams Bay, Wisconsin, 53191. The Nitardy Funeral Home, Cambridge, WI �is assisting the family.
