Obituary of Alvin Clair Falk

Alvin Clair Falk, age 83, of Cambridge, WI, passed away on Sunday, November 25, 2012 at Golden Living in Fort Atkinson. Alvin was born in the Town of Oakland, Wisconsin on August 28, 1929, the son of Otto and Emma (Simdon) Falk. He served his country in the U.S. Army from 1954 until 1956 during the Korean Conflict at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. He worked as a carpenter after his discharge from the military. On May 10, 1952, Alvin married Ruth Grosskoph at St. James Ev. Lutheran Church in Cambridge, WI. Alvin worked at Jones Dairy Farm in Fort Atkinson for 23 years as a meat cutter, retiring in 1986. Alvin was an active and long time member of St. James Ev. Lutheran Church in Cambridge, WI. He enjoyed wood working and caning chairs. He is survived by his wife: Ruth Falk, Cambridge, two sons: David (Mary) Falk and Tom Falk Ten grandchildren: Sarah Miller, Rachel (Kip) Wright, Katie (Justin) Urso, Kimberly Miller, Matthew Falk, Danielle (Dennis Vollmer) Falk, Nathan Falk, Kristofer Falk, Sherri Falk, and Nicholas Falk, Two great-grandchildren: Austin Miller and Alec Wright Alvin was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Yvonne Miller, grandson Kevin Falk, great grandson Dominic Urso, brothers Arthur and Victor Falk, and sister Viola Alexander. Funeral Services will be held at St. James Ev. Lutheran Church, Cambridge, WI at 11:30 AM, Wednesday, November 28, 2012 with Rev. Jeffrey Schallert officiating. Interment will be at Lake Ripley Cemetery with military rites. Friends may call after 10AM on Wednesday at the church until the services. The Nitardy Funeral Home is assisting the family.
