Obituary of Dorothea Stella Behlke

Dorothea Stella Behlke, age 88,of Fort Atkinson, WI passed away on Sunday, December 02, 2012 at the Rainbow Hospice Inpatient Facility in Johnson Creek, Wisconsin. Dorothea was born on February 15, 1924 in Fort Atkinson, WI. Her parents were Frederick and Stella (Schoellkopf) Trieloff. She attended the Fort Atkinson High School. On June 21, 1941 she married Lawrence E. Behlke in Dubuque, Iowa. He preceded her in death on March 6, 1992. In addition to being a Homemaker, Dorothea had worked at Jones Dairy Farm, Melster Candy Company, Whitewater Electronics, and Thomas Industries. She was a member of St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church. Dorothea enjoyed gardening, spending time with family, and was an avid Packer Fan. Surviving are: two daughters; Gloria Graffin, and Terry Behlke (Jim Cheek), of Fort Atkinson, grandson; Tim (Marsha) Graffin of Fort Atkinson, and two great grandchildren; Shelby and Holly Graffin, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Dorothea was preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant son, and sister; Violet Klettke. Funeral Services will be held on December 6, 2012, at 11:00AM at St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church, Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin with Rev. Michael Duncan and Rev. Paul Scharrer officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Fort Atkinson, WI. Visitation will be at the Nitardy Funeral Home, Fort Atkinson on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 from 5PM to 7PM and on Thursday, December 6, 2012 from 10AM until time of services at the church.
