Obituary of Vivian D. Barfknecht

Vivian D. Barfknecht, age 94, of Cambridge died Saturday, December 22, 2012 at the Stoughton Hospital. She was born May 2, 1918 in Deerfield the daughter of Irvin and Lydia Christianson. Vivian attended the Liberty School and graduated from Deerfield High School in 1936. She married Arnold William Barfknecht in Iowa in 1943, he preceded her in death on June 4, 2004. Vivian worked for Melster Candy Company for 17 years. She also made and sold lefse from her home for many years. She is survived by her son Richard (Carol) Barfknecht of Edgerton Grandson: Steven Barfknecht of Cambridge Granddaughter: Amy (Kevin) Richter of Oklahoma Great Grandchildren: Rachel and Ryan Richter Brother: Arlo Christianson of Stoughton Vivian was preceded in death also by her Sister: Ruby Juve, and 2 Brothers: Claire and Leonard. Burial will take place at Hauge Cemetery. Nitardy Funeral Home of Cambridge is assisting the family.
