Obituary of Myrtle Bertha Kenseth

Myrtle Kenseth, age 97, of Cambridge died Sunday, December 23, 2012 at Fort Memorial Hospital. She was born in Cambridge, WI on July 25, 1915 the daughter of Emil and Bertha (Manth) Gerstner. Myrtle married Everett Kenseth on March 28, 1934; he preceded her in death on October 25, 1979. For many years she was the cook at Prairie Queen Country School, and later waitress at local restaurants such as: Curve Caf�, Marsdens Restaurant, and Arbor Dell Inn. She was a member of Prairie Queen Mothers Club, and also enjoyed bowling. Myrtle was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and its Ladies Aid. She is survived by her four children: Jennings (Charlene) Kenseth of Cambridge Janet (Tom) Carpenter of Lake Mills Betty (Joseph) Vassallo of Crown Point, Indiana Robert (Ferol) Kenseth of Kennesaw, GA 8 Grandchildren: Julie Kenseth of Madison Steve (Deborah) Kenseth of Fort Atkinson Craig (Karen) Carpenter of Cambridge Tim (Laura) Carpenter of Green Bay Chris Carpenter of Middleton Joe (Maria) Vassallo of Elgin, IL Deanna Scholl of Wilmington, NC Shelly (Bill) Green of Kennesaw, GA 18 Great Grandchildren She was also preceded in death by her sister Ruth Korth, and 4 brothers: Elmer, Gerhardt, Leonard, and Erdman. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 28, 2012 at Grace Lutheran Church in Cambridge with Rev. Dan Dibbert officiating. Friends may call on Friday at the church for visitation beginning at 9:30 AM. Burial will be in Hauge Cemetery. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider Cambridge Food Pantry or Grace Lutheran Church. Nitardy Funeral Home in Cambridge is assisting the family.
