Obituary of Clarence James Bigelow

Clarence James Bigelow,Jr. age 83, of Whitewater, WI passed away on Monday, January 7, 2013 at Fairhaven in Whitewater, Wisconsin. Clarence was born in the Town of Richmond, Wisconsin the son of Clarence and Catherine (Daley) Bigelow. He was a lifelong farmer, managed a milk plant for 4 and 1/2 years, and hauled milk for 15 years prior to his retirement in 1993. On July 9, 1949, Clarence married Nancy Joyce Ott in the Town of Richmond, Wisconsin. Clarence was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Whitewater, Wisconsin and served as head usher for 15 years. He was a volunteer fireman and EMT for the LaGrange Fire Department for 17 years. He was a member and board member of the Pure Milk Products Cooperative and a board member of the Wisconsin Dairies. Bigelow, Whitewater, WI, Children: Nancy (Kenneth) Krening, Fort Atkinson, WI, Lois Jung, Fort Atkinson, WI, James (Cindy) Bigelow, Whitewater, WI, and Debbie (Duane) Snell, Sister: Carol (Tom) Jordens, Neosho, WI, Sister: Susan (Lawrence) Storck, Fort Atkinson, WI, Brother: Tom (Judy) Bigelow, Winchester, IN, Sister: Donna Lewis, Menomonee, MI, Brother: Charles Bigelow, Florida, Sister: Ellie (Rick) Hartman, Whitewater, WI and Adopted Sister: Diana (Jeff) Simes, Whitewater, WI, Eleven Grandchildren and Seven Great-grandchildren. Clarence was preceded in death by his parents, and sisters June Burdick and Bonnie Siegmann. Funeral Services will be held Friday, January 11, 2013, at 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church, 145 S. Prairie Street, Whitewater,WI with Rev. Susan Bresser officiating. Burial will be in the Richmond Cemetery, Town of Richmond, Wisconsin. Friends may call after 9AM on Friday at the First United Methodist Church, Whitewater, WI until the time of the services. The Nitardy Funeral Home, Whitewater, WI is assisting the family.
