Obituary of Mary Jane Engel

Mary Jane Engel, age 90, of Fort Atkinson, WI passed away on Tuesday, January 08, 2013 at Alden Estates in Jefferson, Wisconsin. Mary Jane was born in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin on July 23, 1922, the daughter of William and Florence M. (Gutchie) O'Brien. She graduated from Fort Atkinson High School. On October 6, 1945, Mary Jane married Charles Engel in Fort Atkinson. Charles preceded her in death in February of 1990. Mary Jane was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Fort Atkinson. She loved her Packer's and shopping. Mary Jane enjoyed being with her family and friends. Surviving are: Daughter: Kristine (Richard) Lundt, Helenville, WI, Grandchildren: Greg (Sue) Fuller, Birmingham, MI, Jim (Debbie) Bowen, Cambridge, WI, Sherrie (Paul Segatti) Bowen, Aurora, CO, and Cindy (Wayne Dahnert) Bowen, Fort Atkinson, WI, Great-grandchildren: Michael and Andrew Fuller, Lindsay and Taylor Bowen, Emelia Segatti, Kelli (Bryan) Northey, and Marcus Dahnert., and Special Friends: Angeline Gebhardt and Kay Krentz, Fort Atkinson, WI. Mary Jane was preceded in death by her husband and son Michael. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, January 19, 2013, at 11:00 AM at the Nitardy Funeral Home, 1008 Madison Ave., Fort Atkinson,WI with Father Brian Wilk officiating. Private family burial will be in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. Friends may call after 10AM on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at the Nitardy Funeral Home, Fort Atkinson until the time of the services. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a memorial to Rainbow Hospice of Jefferson, Wisconsin. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staffs at the Black Hawk Senior Residence, Alden Estate of Jefferson, and Rainbow Hospice for the care they gave to Mary Jane.
