Obituary of Alva Charles Kramer

Alva Charles Kramer, age 95, of Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin passed away on Friday, January 11, 2013 at Fort Atkinson Memorial Hospital. Alva was born in the Town of Farmington, WI on January 30, 1917, the son of Frank and Ettie Mae (Cleveland) Kramer . He farmed in Jefferson, Wisconsin before purchasing a farm in the Town of Koshkonong. He also owned a trucking firm which hauled cattle and produce for the canning company. Alva was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Jefferson. He served as a volunteer fireman for the Jefferson Fire Department. Surviving are: Daughter: Shirley (Lee) Jackson, Whitewater, WI, Son: Gary Kramer, Oregon, WI, Daughter-in-law: Elli Kramer, Jefferson, WI, Four grandchildren and 6 Great-grandchildren. Alva was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sons: Charles, John, and Robert Kramer, Six Brothers: Raymond, Harry, Floyd, Edgar, Arthur, and Dean Kramer, Two Sisters: Mae Bilau and Elsie Lembrich, and a granddaughter: Connie Jackson-Hoffman. Family Graveside Services were held Monday, January 14, 2013 at 1PM at the Union Cemetery, Jefferson, Wisconsin with Rev. Dr. Kenneth Comstock officiating. The family would like to thank Dr. Donald Williams for the care and support he gave to Alva and their family. The Nitardy Funeral Home, Fort Atkinson, WI is assisting the family.
