Obituary of Gerald T. Golinski

Gerald T. Golinski "Polock" 74, of Fort Atkinson passed away at his residence on Saturday, January 26, 2013. After a lingering illness. Jerry was born on December 9, 1938 in Chicago to Thomas and Helen(Werfel) Golinski. Jerry graduated from Fort Atkinson High School. He married his high school sweetheart Gayle Beischel on July 24, 1957 in Bettendorf Iowa. Jerry and Gayle owned the Arcadia Lanes and Jerry's Polish Palace for many years. He also worked for Krause Blacktopping and retired as a truck driver for Hausz Bros. He loved bowling, fishing, playing cards and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Jerry bowled Fort Atkinson's first 700 series in 1979. He is survived by his wife of 55 yrs.. Gayle, daughters Lynne (Doug) Blank of Fort Atkinson; Julie (Brad) Peterson of LaCrosse; son Steven Golinski of Fort Atkinson; brothers Ronald (Joy) Golinski of Fort Atkinson; Thomas (Patty) Golinski of Port Ludlow WA.; grandchildren, Lucas and Lacey Waga, Carleena and Alexa Blank, Colton Peterson, great granddaughter Jayden Olson. Gerald is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was proceeded in death by his parents and his father and mother in-law Urban and Dorothy Beischel. A visitation and sharing of memories will be held Wednesday, January 30, 2013 from 4-7 p.m. at the Nitardy Funeral Home 1008 Madison Ave Fort Atkinson, WI. Burial will be at St. John's Catholic Cemetery, Jefferson, WI. at a later date. The Nitary Funeral Home of Fort Atkinson is serving the family.
