Oh my! I was so shocked when I rode past the store yesterday. Schopen's to me is synonomous to Whitewater.
Your Father was a lovely man. I had the pleasure to your Mom too. Knowing Schopen's phone number by heart made me feel safe no matter where I was, even if weren't in WI. He did feel like a Big Daddy, reminded me of John Wayne.
I will miss him so, I will miss all of you.
You are in our hearts and prayers. Tomi, take care of yourself, hope we meet again.
Sincerely,
Paula Mann

Jona, Tomi and family,
Your Dad is one of those people who will truly leave a footprint on this earth. He had a huge heart and helped so many people through his business and his unbelievable dedication to the Fire Dept. and Rescue Squad. He will leave a void in this community. Be at peace now he is in a better place. No more cold nights going on calls or towing someone out of the ditch at 3:am. Take Care, Tom and Mary Weidert
