Obituary of Renata Alma Schreiner

Renata Alma Schreiner, age 92, of Fort Atkinson, WI went home to be with her Lord on Monday, February 4, 2013 at Sienna Crest in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. Renata was born in Batavia, Wisconsin on November 24, 1920, the daughter of Louis and Ella (Schroeder) Habeck. She married Walter "Butch" Schreiner on August 30, 1952 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Jefferson, Wisconsin. Renata was employed at the former Fort Reminder, Better Sox, Badger Mills, and the Larson Canning Company. She was active in her children's lives and served as a Lutheran Girl Pioneer Leader. The family enjoyed going on many camping trips. Renata was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church and was active in the Dorcas Society. Surviving are: Her children: Pam (Jeff) Anderson, Chickamauga, GA, Kathy Schreiner, Fort Atkinson, WI, Penny (Tim) Fruit, Jefferson, WI, and Rev. Keith (Jennifer) Schreiner, Marshall, MN, Grandchildren: Brandi (Mike) McNical, Christina Schreiner, Andrew (Jordana) Schreiner, and Jordan (Angelica) Schreiner, Great-Granddaughter: Raena McNical, and Sister: Norma Gottshalk, Florida. Renata was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Walter, Brothers: Martin, Walter, and Fredrick Habeck, Sisters: Ruth Krog and Esther Pickalek, and grandson Todd Fruit. A time for visitation will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at Bethany Ev. Lutheran Church, 404 Roosevelt St., Fort Atkinson, WI from 9AM -11AM followed by a service at 11AM with Rev. Ethan Steinbrenner and Rev. Steven Wilkens co-officiating. Those wishing to remember Renata may want to consider memorials to Bethany Lutheran Church, Sienna Crest of Fort Atkinson, or to Rainbow Hospice of Jefferson, WI. The family would like to thank the staff at Sienna Crest and Rainbow Hospice for the care they provided to Renata. The Nitardy Funeral Home, Fort Atkinson, WI is assisting the family.
