Obituary of Mary Jane Margaret Guthrie

Mary Jane Margaret Guthrie, 86, of Fort Atkinson passed away on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at her home.

Mary Jane was born on May 13, 1935 in Milwaukee WI to Magnus and Mary (Walenta) Syversen.  She worked for Blue Cross Blue Shield for many years.  After retirement she took care of many children as a nanny.  Mary Jane loved playing cards, visiting with family and watching Turner Classic movies.  

She was a loving mother to her children: Jeffrey (Connie) Krey, Cudahy, WI, Michael Krey, Johnson Creek, WI, Scott (Barbara) Krey, Plainfield, WI; grandchildren: Teri Bertram, Sheri (Kelly) Krey, Mary “Missy” (Greg) Luedtke, Sarah Krey (Brandon), and Christopher Krey; great-grandchildren: Ty, Troy, Allen, Logan, Hunter, Kylie, and Levi; great-great grandson: Luka;  brother: Magnus “Bob” Syversen; Ken’s children Brad and Scott Guthrie. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands: Fred Lyskowski and Kenneth Guthrie; sisters: Virginia, Shirley and Marie.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, August 13, 2021 at 11:00am at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Fort Atkinson (301 S High Street).  Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Fort Atkinson.  Friends may call at the church on Friday from 10:00am until the time of the service.
